kaolin fire presents :: art :: Oil on Canvas 2

The second in my "new generation" of paintings. I doodle'd the image at my writing group with a couple of suggestions from a friend, then tranferred the image onto the canvas with pencil. I had trouble keeping track of the lines as I painted over them, and I think overall I really didn't pull off what I was going for here. The painting is certainly nice enough to keep (to my eye), but I'll be trying again with different colors and perhaps a better eye to where the lines originally were. Perhaps more of a variety of brushes, also.
